Home Tour

Welcome to my humble abode! I'm dying to share my home with you! I've put my heart into making our home a place to love in, live, in, and host in. Keep in mind a room is never done and I have a billion more ideas in my head still. Also, I'm totally an amateur with my camera. I know you'd rather less words and more pictures so here we go for the tour...

Entry way

First door on the right: Laundry Room

Second door on the right: Half Bath
It's not very easy to photograph this bathroom. I promise there's a toilet in there ;)

On the other side of the entry way just past the stairs: The Family Room

Dining Room:

And just to keep it real around here... this was happening in the above picture about 6 inches away =)

The Kitchen:

The Fireplace Room

Upstairs:

Playroom

Titus' Room

Sienna's Room

Kids Bath
Still tons of work to be done in this room.
Also, there's no natural light in here. Pictures are tough.

Master Bedroom

Master Bathroom

There it is! Our family's digs. A ton (most) of our things are DIY and super affordable. I'm a firm believer in splurging on a few things and creating the rest! If you have any questions on where, how, or what is pictured ask away in the comments! I'll do an outside tour along with our porch and a fun DIY project were doing outside sometime soon! And just to remind you not to compare your behind the scenes to someones highlight reel...

The Office
That I didn't have time or energy to clean/organize in time for a picture.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!

I think along with event planning, you should add interior decorating! Your house looks amazing! Beautiful Candy :)

Love, love, love it! You're such an inspiration to me. Thank you for being you and inspiring us wives and momma's.

Interiors is definitely your calling. I've seen this house many many times. Every time I walked in, I'd find something new! She even helped me with my last house. I love that when you come up with an idea, you execute it immediately!! Love this house!! :)

I gotta know what the color is on your teal ish dresser in the dinning room! It's stunning! I want to paint an old dresser that color and convert it to a tv stand.

Wow, I love it all! Just how long did the kitchen take? My parents recently re-did their kitchen and I love it too, but I'm pretty sure they spent too much to have somebody else do it and yours is gorgeous!!! Next time they want to have something redone, I'm going to have them call you first! :) I am totally inspired, I've been wanting to do something with my living room space but I have never done just an accent wall before. Seriously, really beautiful work -- big SMILEY!!!! One thing I must know, how did you manage to paint the walls without your kids getting into it, not that they would -- I just remember repainting my wall with my mom when I was 16, and couldn't resist making a mess of hand prints all over the walls... so maybe that's just me.

Thank you so much Ashley. I really appreciate your sweet words! :)

Thanks Jenna! You know the ever evolving nature of my home that's for sure! Gotta get ya guessing. I really appreciate the kind remarks!

Thank you! It's Ann Sloan Chalk Paint in Florence. =) Sounds like it'll be beautiful!

Thanks! I'm not quite sure in total but maybe a month or so? We did three rooms all at once downstairs so that held us up a bit! I LOVE accent walls! They are so easy and make a big impact! My husband and I are a pretty good team. One keeps them occupied while the other cleans, or we do it while they are sleeping. Also, sometimes we let them help (when we covered the floors). Gotta let them be kids sometimes! ;)

where did you purchase your master bedroom comforter?

I love your home! Your color schema is so nice! I would be so grateful if you can tell me where you bought your rug in the living room and your bedroom. Also where did you get your bed?

Cassandra said...

I LOVE your bed!!! Can you share the details?

I love your home!!! I've been looking for a few precise detail ideas and I found them within your walls <3

I am very curious where you master bathroom cupboard is from

Candace Gutierrez said...

TJ MAXX a few years ago. I believe it was the Valerie Bertinelli line.

Candace Gutierrez said...

thanks so much Monika! The rug in the living room is from Target & the rug in the bedroom is from Costco (really good deal!) We ordered our bed from Amazon! I don't remember the maker but I think I searched tufted beds to find it. =)

Candace Gutierrez said...

Thanks Cassandra! The bed was ordered from Amazon. I forget the maker but I searched tufted beds to find it! Hope that helps.

Candace Gutierrez said...

well thanks so much! Glad I could help. =) It's actually a sideboard from ikea in the dining room section. We hacked it to make it work for a vanity! =)

I absolutely love your home!! You have a GREAT eye for details. ..

our houses have similar color schemes and I have to know a few of the details you've used, they are pure inspiration for what I'm looking for: the wallpaper in the entry, the flooring in the kitchen and master bath, the wall colors in the living/dining/kitchen, and the cabinet in the laundry room above the bench?

I love, love, love your homes style! Thanks for the inspiration! I'm totally using the green buffet paint color on a vanity I'm working on for my teal and grey dressing room.
